OK, kids, reality check on the engine part of the VIN. Remember, the '66 FSMs are WRONG! This has been documented by Chrysler Corporation since 1966; but people continue to take the '66 FSM and online decoders as gospel, when Page 5 (and most decoders!) is definitely WRONG.
What I've input below is taken DIRECTLY from the Chrysler Factory Service Bulletin, dated August 3, 1966. The opening paragraph reads thus:
Information pertaining to the identification of engine cubic inch displacement by reference to the vehicle serial number, is in error as presented in the 1966 Service Manuals. Please correct your Service Manuals to read as follows:
A = 170
B = 225
C = Spec Ord SIX
D = 273
E = 318
F = 361
G = 383
H = 426 HEMI
J = 440
K = Spec Ord EIGHT
