I know this section is mainly about drag racing but I will put this out there anyways.I am building a 1966 coronet 500 to compete in road racing.I am trying to find a company that sells road racing parts for old mopars.Does anybody have any suggestions.

funny you say that, last night i was watching some clips of 1970 scca/trans-am racing and saw a '64 fury in the pack...was pretty cool !

What rules will you have to follow? Can you use other than stock suspension parts?

I am looking into that,I think I can use anything as loing as it is a bolt on application.

I used to make brand new Mustang GT's chicken out around curves in my 70 Bee. Handled like a big go-kart. Factory sway bar, worn out UCA bushings causing a "solid" condition, air shocks, 3:55 SG gears, performance radials in front 11 inch wide bias in back.

I knew exactly when the rear was going to come around and could steer with the throttle under hard cornering. Usually went around sideways with front wheels pointed the "wrong" way.

I think that's called drifting now.

It always put a smile on my face to see cars built for "handling" back off as I skidded around a curve faster than they dared go in with grip (and $600-$1000 in tires).

Also used to follow 4x4s through orange grove sugar sand. Wide tires and SG will get you almost as far as 4WD, if you drive smart.
