I think it's time I finally put my 1966 Plymouth Satellite Convertible up for sale. Although I still drive it around, I want something new and I can't purchase another car till I get rid of some of the other ones.
It's a 66 Satellite Convertible, has the 273 V8, Automatic Transmission, Floor Shift with Buckets seats, Power Steering and 4 wheel Manual drum brakes. When I purchased it 2-3 years ago, I went thru the entire front suspension, replacing all the bushings, front and rear brakes, rubber lines, and upgraded to a dual master cylinder. Because I planned on driving it, I fixed all the leaks, resealing the front of the engine and also replaced the timing chain, fuel pump and Harmonic balancer. I also had the transmission rebuilt as it leaked also. I also replaced the rear leaf springs with bushings and the gas tank hoses. I also had a new vinyl top put on. And later on Installed Cruise Control for the long trips and had the front headlights wired into a relay so they get full voltage.
I believe the motor, transmission and rear end all to be original to the car, it still has the Certicard in the holder and states that it originally came from California. The odometer is around 45000 miles (I believe) and I have no idea if it's correct.
The car is a "driver" and drives very well. The only issues that I can think of is both rear side windows are hard to fidget into place with the top up... I was going to fix that one day
. Also the original AM radio does not work. The previous owner installed another radio in the glove box and put those speakers in the door. I honestly feel that you could drive this car anywhere without any issues as it has never let me down or given me any problems.
I am asking $14,500.00 for the car. It Is located in Richmond Texas, Just outside of Houston Texas.
