1967 belvdere auto trans

The 273 and 318 cubic inch models used a 3 speed manual or the 904 transmission. The 727 transmission was put behind the larger motors which put out more horsepower.

My 66 Poly 318 came with a 727.....did that change for all 67's?

how can you tell what it is? this guy that has the car i want has a rebuilt 440with trans, but he doesn't know what it is and i haven't seeen it

The 440 should have a 727, I don't think the 904 came with the big block bell housing. Someone will correct me if that is incorrect.

No big blocks came with anything other than a 727....

My 67 Belvedere II Factory original 318 had the window sticker in glovebox book. Came with 727 from factory as specified on window sticker.

look at the pan..727 is top, 904 is bottom.

I didn't think the 727 could fit on a SMALL block. That seems odd that the sticker shows it as being on the small block. I always thought it was due to the bellhouseing too. Hmmm.

All big blocks came with 727's....but they don't fit a small block because the bell housing pattern is different. Small blocks came with either a 727 or a 904....depending on what small block it was and what car it was in and what year the car was.
