I finally managed to pull the rear side glass out of my driver side passenger position on my 67 charger.

The plastic rollers were shot and one was bent. This is typically I hear. I know almost all of my dads 66/67 chargers had issues with the rear windows going up and down.

That being said, should this part be bent? It is bent up as the window is laying flat. This is the track the rear follower rides in.

To bend it back Im sure would be impossible. The window will shatter or the popmetal will come apart?

Also where can I get the rollers and the roller/guid assemblies that go up and down the two up and down tracks?

I also had to pop a clip off the back of the last regulator mounting point. Any idea were to get a new clip or did I screw it all up?

Any experience here will be appreciated.

The regulator works great lol.

roller kit is available at MegaParts.com ....around $85 for kit to do both rear windows.

And that pot metal frame should not be bent....should be straight and flat....

It should be flat. Both of mine were bent. I was able to bend both back reasonably straight, but this is why I have spare frames on the shelf. Those things are PITA to install and remove... If I ever go back in there, the nice flat spares will go in.

Careful persuasion with sheet metal pliers and crescent wrenches. It went back, but I see your concern. And I only got mine straight enough to work- they're aren't perfect.

Pretty curious that so many of these cars have this problem... I wonder what it stems from.

All most all of my dads chargers I can remember getting my *** beat as a kid for messing with the rear windows and this was in the 80s

I have about 5 sets of rear glass frames here with glass installed, but I will not ship[ glass, sorry

Need to get my quarter glass rolling again. Been dreading it, looks like the quickest way it to sawsall the quarters out.

Hopefully you dont find a bent frame when you pull it apart.

The front channel guide roller cage broke in half when removing it so I cant even stuff my window back in and just keep it in the up position like I had been now due to this.

Got one for sale by chance? LOL

How much would you charge for a drivers side rear window frame. Just as you stated, I do not need/want the glass.

Yea. I had fun getting the side glass out of ours this summer. What a nightmare.
It will come out without a saws all.
Bought my roller kits from Classic.
Haven't tired them out yet. But looks like enough to do the job.
It includes the rollers you are talking about.
Mine were bent too.

Got the front roller cage assemblies from Bryan. Thank you.

The frame straightens out with a bit of caution and heat...see how it goes.

The rest of the rollers and plastics are from Dantes

Well after much much frustration I got my window back in and adjusted. It was a mother. I didn't have anyone to hold the window so I had to juggle it myself.

Id like to take the time to warn everyone that the roller kits they sell nowadays are far from correct. I didn't hassle with returning and I bought two kits from two seperate sources and bottom line is they suck. Not for 66/67 chargers

i had to put them in a drill chuck and make a home made lathe with a flat file and my drill press. I also had to cut some pieces off and had to reuse some of the old pieces. Complete crap I'd be better off trying to have the pieces made on a lathe out of some aluminum cuz the plastic sucks and works about the same.

After much manipulation I got it done. Still need to put the door panel on and install all the new crap you see in boxes in my back seat but now I can get the fuel leak fixed and cruise.

For anyone doing this down the road here are the two that need modified. I have reach out to the vendors to let them know and they say mine were packaged wrong....
