do the three different power steering units interchange? federal, saginaw, and i don't know the name of the other one.. i'm trying to get mine rebuilt( i think it is a federal)...with the round tank ... i think they use the saginaw on the small blocks... but i'm not sure..

Each brand pump has its own mount. Pumps with the associated mounts will interchange. Without the mount, you are stuck with what you have. Different power steering hoses too.

These units are fairly easy to rebuild sir. Just did mine a few months back.

The third style is a Thompson, also called TRW. It also has a round tank and looks similar to the Federal. Enough different that nothing interchanges.
