Hi Energy 224. -230. @.050
727 transmission recently rebuilt by same individual with my help
Brand new Hughes Torque Convertor 2000 stahl
Built by: Paul Riley, Paul's Engine building/engine balancing and Performance Transmissions, Palmdale CA recently retired, moved to Idaho
Car is solid, small rust in passenger side front floor pan
This is the car that former a Forum member had and posted the thread: Scary noises coming from my 440?
We all remember trying to help him troubleshoot it.
See video: Loud and scary noises coming from my 440...
I bought it from him, pulled engine and trans and went thoroughly through both.
Could not find smoking "gun"
Paul Riley and myself tore into engine and trans, nothing out of the ordinary
We rebuilt both but after showing Paul the video he smiled and said he knew what the noise was: Torque convertor was not locked in place, therefore when engine was "shut down" the screeching noise was that, remember? It sounded like a "Starter" still spinning?
See video:
Anyway, I have too many projects. I am selling this car.
