I need some direction: I have a 1967 Satellite, Originally it was a 318 V8 with a 727 transmission. I ripped out all the suspension. In the front I went with a Gerst coil over front end set up for a 440. After putting the engine and transmission in the car i find out the transmission mount does not line up with the cross member. The cross member is stock 318 as is the mount. The problem is the mount is not far enough back by about one inch.
So is their a different mount I can use? The stock mount cannot be modified enough to fit properly. Is their a mount that will bolt up to the transmission pls two additional holes that I can use and modify my cross member. It s kind of hard to describe so looking for someone who has had a similar issue and how did they solve it. Any help is greatly appreciated
