I have a 67 charger that has a factory vinyl top. The car is in pretty good shape but it sat in a barn for 22 years after being restored.

That being said there has been a tremendous amount of work to do.

Now it appears the front and rear windshields are leaking when it rains or I was it.

I bought wiper pivot seals hoping to remedy the issue and its a no go on the front.

So I have a local glass guy that will R&R the windows I just need to find the correct seals.

There in lies my issue.

A few sources state that the gasket will NOT work with a vinyl top and a few sources just dont say.

I just want to know if there is in fact a difference in front and/or rear window seals prior to ordering one.

Also who is a good supplier or possibly a sponsor of this website that can get me one?

Thanks FBBO

What difference would a vinyl top make... hard top or vinyl top, they both use the same trim and the same trim clips?

I have no idea but a few places specifically state it wont work with a vinyl top when I look up the windshield gasket...thats why Im asking on here were the pros live......I havent removed any trim or started screwing with it yet.

Why???

I'll check my 67 parts catalog when I get home (at work like usual), but I can't think of any reason why there would be a difference.
I have a 67 vinyl topped charger sitting on my rotisserie right now. The trim has been removed, but the glass and the rubber seal are still there.

Well its on a rotisserie so its probably getting a nice job on it and since the rear windows on these things leaked from the factory even Im sure you will run into this. Help me out here. Much appreciated.

Oh and that car wouldnt happen to be a california car that is red with a black vinyl top and factory L code 440 would it?

Nope... My 67 is a CT car... always has been... and none of my windows have ever leaked... at least not before I took it apart :)

the glass, seal, trim clips, and chrome window trim are the same on cars with or without factory vinyl top

My father has put vinyl tops on cars since the 70's, part of the reason I am going to put a top on my '67, and he said "bull$&@! it ain't no different" if that helps.
