Hello everyone can anyone tell me how much of the exterior and body in the say on the 68-70 charger just the outside body and could you put 70 tail lights on a 68? whats the diffrents between the 68 grill and 70
thanks guys

68 and 69 share more parts. 70 has a different front clip altogether and a different dash frame. Column changed in 70, ignition switch slightly different between 68/69. Lots of small differences; the location of the lock button changed, etc. 70 tail panel same as 69 with small mods for trim.

Marker lights different for 68, 69, and 70. If you're looking to clone a 68 to a 70 you'll need the front bumper, grill and brackets, fenders, hood, and valence. Quarter panels modded to change marker light and tail panel swapped to a 69/70 version. There is a small bracket that the rear portion of the front wheel opening bolts to, that is different 68/69 and 70. My advice would be to just find a 70 unless you have a ton of parts available or a very deep wallet. Many parts are one year only with these cars.

I like the 68 tail lights the best out of them years myself. Just my opinion.

minor differences, running lights, tail lights, different front grill all three years, front bumper especially on the 70 it's a grill surround... 69 had the most models offered... 68 is my all around favorite thou, IMHFO it's by-far the best looking car ever produced....

thanks guys, Montclair, fate captured, rich, budnicks you guys answered all questions.....

Isn't a '70 trunk lid different in that it's cut out on the inside corners for a spoiler?

There may be a difference in bracing but the skins are the same, I don't think he was going that in-depth with it.
