WANTED 1968-69 NOS MOPAR ONLY front and rear bumper guards. Bob H
Not sure about the rear bumper guards but the front ones are different between 68 and 69. 68's are shorter than the 69's. I was not aware of that until I had mine re-chromed. Turns out mine were 69 vintage. Here is a pic of my 68 with the taller 69 guards.WANTED 1968-69 NOS MOPAR ONLY front and rear bumper guards. Bob H
In 1969 the front guards were the same as 1968. Dodge Charger 1969 could be offered with a different front as guard as an option with the guards coming up protecting the grill. 1969 had two types of front bumper guards. I have seen 1969 both ways and both ways are correct, I like 68 cars most, I own a 68 R/T. I have a few questions for you. the picture you posted is this your 1968 Dodge Charger HEMI to you?. this picture of a 68 with 1969 front bumper guards. Is this a real 68 HEMI Charger? Please tell me more about this car? Bob HI only mentioned they were different from year to year because you said NOS 68 or 69. You want 68 only.
It is not a factory Hemi car. It was a 383 car with a 71 383 in it when I bought it. It had a 69 Grille and front bumper on it. A Chivvy guy had it and did what chivvy guys do. It was an original green on green car that he painted burgundy. I rescued it and built it my way with a 6.1 late model Hemi. Here is a pic of when I got it. By the way, My car is the only 68 Charger I have ever seen with the taller front bumper guards. I have seen 69 Chargers with both style but not 68. I knew you have a 68 Hemi Charger. That is why I mentioned you need the shorter 68 only bumper guard. I'm not sure but it may have been a mid year change. In 1969 the front guards were the same as 1968. really nice car. your 68 is the first 68 with 69 taller bumper guards. I only have one car a 68 hemi charger RT. Its all I ever wanted and can afford. I do look for any and all charger NOS parts I can find. thats why I post all the time looking for NOS. I am still looking for a NOS ampere gauge. When i find one I will have all NOS gauges for my car. I can barely see my original gauges the color and lettering is gone on my original gauges. Bob HormanIt is not a factory Hemi car.
