1968 and earlier big block with AC negative battery cable location

On the early big block cars with the cast iron bracket for the compressor does the negative battery cable and the throttle return around bracket still sand which under the same intake bolt as without AC? It’s gonna have to loop out towards the apron and around this bracket if so. Just curious how it was originally.

That's where it's attached on my 67 383 w/ AC. Hard to see in the pic since the return spring is disconnected. It does loop around the bracket to reach the battery.
