I am selling a complete drum to drum 8 3/4 axle assembly. It was removed from a 68 Charger, The center section is a 489 case(not original to the car), and it has the bigger 11" drums.

Located in Zip 94608 in Emeryville, Ca.

$500.

You want it shipped? Please consult a shipper for quotes.

Pics will be put up on Monday.

Still have it...

Guess nobody needs to upgrade their rear axle in the bay area???

Before I got it I had multiple inquiries about where to find one....

Reverse Murphy's Law. You are 30 mins from me and I don't need one.

Spring Fling is coming up and I'm going. If an LA member buys it I might be able to deliver it. I have two reserved spots at the swap meet.

i would be interested if you could get it to my shipper in compton. I live overseas but have bought from many members here, moparts and the abody forum

Uhoh. Lots of excitement all of a sudden. I'll see your "30 minutes away" and raise you a "Spring Fling"! I'm interested AND I'm in SoCal AND I'm going to have my car at Spring Fling. Now how would I get a rear axle home in a Roadrunner trunk??? Maybe I'll enter my Dodge pickup truck...

But can you tell us what gears and differential are in it?

Not sure in gears...but its a 489 chunk. I will have to check, even though it needs a rebuild I would replace the gears at the same time. Gears only run about 200-220 from Summit. Last few 3.23/3.55 rear I have had that had originals gears were pitted and needed replacing.

Its an open rear....

You take out the passenger seat (if you have buckets) or the back seat and you have an instant RR parts hauler with side access. Bring a big old blanket or cardboard.

That's some funny sh!t, RRel camino!!!!

Don't laugh! One of my first cars was a 68 Bel 2 dr 6 cyl 3 spd that my cousin cut the rusted out back window out, but kept cutting until it looked like a Ranchero (can't say the other word! lol). He made contoured sides and started on a back window frame and there was no bed floor. It never got finished but the basic design looked pretty cool.

Spring Fling is next weekend.....any one?? Bueller?? Bueller?

You are not coming to Socal anytime soon are you? I take a couple trips to mammoth every year once the snow comes, soonest I would be able to drive to bay area is then. I have no idea if it would be worth it to ship

I don't come down that way anytime soon, and if I was it aint' gonna go in my car.....sorry!

Not sure on cost to ship. I was hoping someone would take it to Spring Fling....
