Hello all, 1968 BB: Did the factory make a different type of throttle return spring bracket if the car came equipped with A/C? My 68 Charger 383-4 came with A/C and it has this bracket (see pic #1). But I was told that it uses this bracket (see pic #2). My bracket doesn't appear to be modified or hacked if you look at the edges, so it does look like it was from the factory.

Anyone seen these brackets (pic #1) before?

Thanks

Looks right to me. IIRC the tang on the non a/c one you show a picture of is removed because it normally goes into the hole right next to the intake bolt. That hole has a bracket for the a/c compressor mounted there.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. That tang occupies the threaded hole on the head where I believe my A/C bracket occupies the same hole. Just wanted to make sure because I don't have access to that A/C bracket to do some detective work.

Not sure if there was a change from 67 to 68, but my 67 GTX with AC has a spring support like no. 1.
