Note: I thought I posted this thread earlier, but it looks like I goofed.
I got my trusty Mopar expert to help me decode my '68 Charger fender tag. Does anyone know if there are numbers, stats on the numbers with AC or similar options? I understand Chrysler didn’t do great with keeping up with documentation, etc. after 1968. Any help or guidance would be great.
Here is what we found, not in order of the tag:
• Special order and built May 2nd 1968 in Hamtramck.
• Automatic
• 318, 2BBL
• AM radio
• Air Conditioning
• Power steering
• Tinted glass, all
• Black vinyl top
• Center console
• Vinyl bucket seats, black
• Fender turn signals
• Driver side mirror
• Wheel lip molding
• 26-inch radiator (I think that 24-inch was standard)
• 14 inch wheels, RED stripe tires
• RR1 color - burgundy
Questions on these:
• Chrome drip rail molding (is this the molding that would be on the bottom)
• Black body stripe (any pictures of what that stripe looks like)
• Chrome body side molding (anyone got a picture of what this might look like)
