Ok guys i went through all the forums looking for advice on installing carpet but i need some more. First question do i add padding or just use the padding that is glued to the legendary carpet. If i use padding is it to be glued to the floor. Also do i need a steamer to get it to lay more flat. Cutting holes it seams a iron isthe best way but let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Any tips will be appreciated thanks in advance.

You could glue some extra insulation and glue it down first. Fat mat is good but it's cost alot. You can get a double sided insul. at Lowes are some Lumber stores that will work pretty good. Any thing will help if you are going to be driving it during the summer. Let you new carpet lay out in the sun for a while before you put it in and I haven't had much luck trying to steam it.

Hope it fits better than the Trim Parts crap i just used.Shouldnt need anything if it fits decent other than a good sharp knife.

Well for the most part i m done but what pain in the butt. I was not impressed at all with the legendary carpet. My hand is so sore from trimming i had to take a tylenol. I remember years back i had a chevelle i installed carpet and only had to trim the sill plates. I guess mopar is different. The sautering iron worked great for the holes as everbody sais. I recommend getting some good fabric scissors they helped allot. I will try and post pics tommorow when i finish.
