1968 Coronet R/T under hood colors

Hey what color should these hood parts be? The latch, spring, release, etc. I think the catch, what I call it, should be a dichromate coating.

i don't know the technical term but its a phosphate coating on some of those parts.

Yeah, pretty much black oxide / phosphate. I just painted mine black to look like the coating. The hood striker may have been body color but can't remember exactly.

Bones, I bought my '68 Bee brandnew and still have it. Hood latch, safety catch and striker were the dichromate color.
