1968 Dodge Charger front suspension colors, what is right?

Hi all, I am wondering what colors some of the front suspension pieces should be mainly the lower control arms, i have seen them in gold cad as well as all natural, is there one way for 1968 or is it a case of whatever you think is best?

The colors of the control arms are often dependant on the assembly plant the car was from. The "gold cad" was actually not cadmium, but an anti corrosion type of Cosmoline that soon dried and wore off. Most cars that I have seen have what appear to be bare steel showing. This indicates that most cars had that gold appearing color when new. Low gloss black is also seen frequently on restored cars. Not flat, not gloss, but a low degree of gloss.
Some suspension pieces were natural steel in color. The strut rods and steering linkages were natural. The torsion bars were dipped in paint horizontally and should show drips if you're looking for a factory correct appearance.
On my car, I just painted what I couldn't clean up with the wire wheel. Low gloss black on the upper and lower control arms, Torsion bars and sway bar. I painted the steering linkage a dark gray metallic similar to a natural finish.

In 62-65 some lower ctrl arms came bare metal ( without the cosmoline-treatment ) and others came in a flattish/gloss black, as Gregory C said.
