I am wondering if original power steering pump on 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 engine is Federal or TRW brand manufacture? Bob Horman

Richard cranium has a survivor 68 440 rt...if he can chime in ?

I have my original on my 68 and its TRW

Yes. Robert horman his car is survivor all original OEM stuff the whole car and engine. I believe 68 RT is right too. It is the TRW. I think much smaller pump than the federal

paging a member is as easy as @Richard Cranium

As requested by my #1 fan ......

Ditto on TRW for my ‘68 bee. I’ve used the Saginaw off a 69 charger while the original was being rebuilt. The Saginaw worked much better.

How do you tell a Federal from a TRW? I have a 68 R/T and I thought it was a Federal, but I don't know why, except it is not a Saginaw.

Both my 68 Dodge Chargers R/T's came with TRW pumps. 68 have solid shaft thru the pulley. NO optional cooler line on 68 big blocks PUMP. Both of my 68 cars are original drive line in car. Solid pulley 69 pumps had 3 spoke pulley different pump, I believe were Saginaw. Bob Horman
