my brake lights are acting funny. when i hold down the brake only the driver side works. if i turn the passenger side turn signal on with the brake still depressed once i turn the turn signal off only ther passenger side will light up. so it seems to follow the turn signals. operate drive side turn signal only the driver side brake light works operate the passenger side then only the passenger side operates....any ideaS?

Check your grounds at the sockets and the chassis ground up at the battery. If it is isolated to the rear lights, probably a poor connection in the sockets or more likely, the metal to metal connection from the socket to the taillight housing.

Either bad grounds as mentioned or you have a bad turn signal switch.

If any of the lights burn then it is not a faulty ground

Your problem is in the switch in the steering column, Sometimes carefully taking it apart and cleaning with brake clean and a soft brush will fix it.... otherwise you'll need a replacement switch.
