Well according to my code book, S6X is the code for solid black vinyl bucket seats not a bench.

Nice - thank you, anything else?

I think the code 48 is for a Suregrip differential w/HD perf. axle.

The PP1 is for Red exterior color.

Is your car a 727 or a 4spd? I believe 4spd cars automatically got the Dana 60 rearend.

I can't find any of the other codes in my book. Do you have the buildsheet for your car?

Joe

Joe,
I do not have a build sheet. The car is an auto car on the column. It was a 10 second drag car that was torn apart and now I am working on putting it back to a streetable state.

Cool,

Sounds like a great car to bring back to life and it has a cool color combo as well. I have seen bucket seat cars with a column shift auto with no buddy seat. Are there any signs of the brackets for a buddy seat ever being in the car. Does your car have an 8.75 or Dana 60 rearend? Are there any signs of it ever being a 4spd car or of ever having a floorshift auto? The car should have the HD front suspension being a GTX.

I got, and I'll skip the obvious...
F70 X 14 Red Line tires
Built on Nov 17 of `67
3.23 SG
Premium vinyl bucket, black.
Black upper door frames
Black horizontal stripes
Power front disc brakes, rear drums
A.M. radio
Tinted front windshield only
Probably wide sill, wheel opening and drip rail molding
Nice car!

Joe and Detmat,
Thanks for the help - very much. I do not see any signs of a buddy seat or floor shift options. It has a 8 3/4 - It was spooled with 456's and I replaced it with a SG 355. When I bought it had a 69 fenders, grille and one door. Unfortunately, I found the door after I painted it Chrysler gunmetal from one of the newer colored cars, who knew the locks had been moved? (I’m new to this). The car has been in my area for many years and changed hands many times due to the speed factor, was rotting away when I finally bought it. Now I am simply trying to put it back to close to original with other modifications. I have a hemi 18 spline with a period correct 440 with dual quads and aluminum heads I am putting in real soon. So, now I figured I better check the data plate so I am aware of the complete alterations I am making and to know more about the car. So thank you guys again, very much. I was having problems deciphering Gavens books.
