Fresh mild 440 rebuild with 2,400 miles. Has working Classic Air conditioning system installed. Over $30k in receipts. Lots new. Runs and drives. Current tags.
Under my ownership I put in a rebuilt 440 ($6K) then spent over $3K at Precision Motiv in Hayward, CA to get everthing in order for a trip I took to Carmel with my family just prior to COVID. I also upgraded much of the interior, installed new master cylinder, and attended to lots of small issues. Has been stored sitting since then. Started right up with no issues after a battery charge. No leaks.
Great for shows or business promotion. Gets rave responses. Not many like it.
Needs a few finishing touches:
- Headliner sagging. The rest of the interior is mostly new.
- Horn not working. Might be a headlight out.
- Rear passenger door stuck
- Some bubbling of paint along roof drip rails (very minor - paint job is still excellent and is of high quality)
- Reinstall vacuum cannister for brakes - due to cam the cannister keeps extra vacuum so you don't have to occasionally pump brakes.
- If I could keep I would upgrade the suspension to modern parts.
- Bumpers could use a rechrome but are acceptable for a driver
- Trim could use a polish
- As I recall the emergency brake does not work - have not investigated
- Speedometer is "bouncy" - I would upgrade to modern cluster
- Not a show car but not far away from one either.
I have full history of this car since it was rescued from a dismantler in North Carolina in 2005. Car was in Florida when I purchased. California before that. Now back in California. No rust. Undercarriage is clean.
Loss of storage forces sale.
$20,000 obo. Don't ask if I need help selling it. No trades unless it's a new Tesla.
Car is currently located in Oakland, CA. Will work with shippers.
Happy to answer any questions. Losing storage. Must sell.
