So I have been looking to replace the wiring under the dash and in the engine compartment and Year one is calling for a separate harness for the Tach but mine is all tied into the main block. Am I missing something or am I reading something wrong?

Also I have converted to a mallory dist so should I get the engine harness for electric setup? Electrical is not my strong point. Thanks in advance for any help. Jim

The tach does have it's own harness separate. Get the proper tape and bundle it with your main harness. If you changed to electronic ignition, get the harness for electronic setup. The harnesses from Year One fit perfect, made by M&H.

Since tachs are usually an option it wouldn't be uncommon to have a separate harness for that. It's only two wires and a dash light socket.

What Mallory did you get? The electronic engine harness is for the factory Chrysler box so won't apply to the Mallory anyway. If you got the Unilite all you need is a reliable 12V source, good ground and the signal. The 12V source will be the blue wire to the + side of the coil and you may have to bypass the ballast resistor.

Thanks guys. I will find out for sure how the harness is from year one if it is built in or not. I think they use the same one for a charger for the superbee. I will also just go stock with the engine harness.
