1968 440 block

For sale 440 bare block ONLY... VIN. 2536430 date on it is 4-20-67 currently residing in Joliet Illinois, will be moved to northern Michigan in a week or so and can possibly deliver for small fee, depending on MI location. $500.00 May consider trades for 1968 Road runner parts...particularly front bench seats, posi track rear end, or automatic moper transmission (eg.TorqueFlite automatic) and windshield. thanks for looking. PS...have all window galss for a 1969 Road runner out and reading to ship...if interested in that as well.

Post up a vin #, could help you sell it or reunite a missing motor with it's former home.
 
Except for the fact 68 Roadies didn't come with a 440, only 383 or Hemi. 69 1/2 Six Barrel the only exception prior to 1970 I'm aware of.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe 4/20/67 would be a little to early for a 68 block, unless the VIN states it came from a 68 car. The VIN he lists does not state what year or assembly plant the motor is from, it is just the sequence number.

Also, no where in his ad did he say the 440 came from a 68 RR. He stated he would be willing to trade the block for 68 RR parts.
