I'm trying to get my 1968 Road Runner inspection worthy. It was without the front parking lights when I bought it and I'm having a hell of a time trying to find the assembly (goes in the front bumper holes). I can find just the replacement lenses np.. but, I am missing the whole assembly.

My understanding is that they are parking lights and the front turn indicators, and won't pass inspection without front turn signals.

Checked everywhere I know to check with no luck. Help, anyone?

Thanks,
Larry

So are you looking for the housings or the wiring harness? Harness is part of the forward light harness.
Housing...not sure.

Not that it solves the problem, but I registered mine as an antique vehicle, here in Texas, it does not have to be inspected that way.

Are you able to drive it then? This isn't a show car. I plan to drive it around sometimes. I'll check into this.

Seems that antique plates require very limited use. If a local officer seems me out in the thing every other weekend, they would realize after a while I was breaking the law.

From Texas DMV VTR-54 document you sign for antique plates:
"My signature indicates that I am the owner of the above described vehicle. The frame, body and motor are at least 25 years old, and the vehicle is a collector’s item that will be used solely for exhibition, club activities, parades, and other functions of public interest (replicas do not qualify for Antique plates). The vehicle will not be used for regular transportation except when routine maintenance is needed. The vehicle will not carry advertising."

I would rather keep it 100% legal and find a set of lights. Thanks for the info anyway tho!

The ones for 68-69 Road Runner/Satellite are rectangular. Here is a pic of the mounting location in the bumper. Looks like I will probably have to just find a set that fit and make them work. I don't see dimensions on that Coronet lamp, but it would probably exceed the height of that hole in the bumper (slightly less than 2.5").

You would think. I found a single original one on ebay for $350. But, I really don't want to spend $700 on parking lights. I was hoping there would be some place that made reproduction ones. But, there doesn't seem to be. Or at least not that Google can find.
