1968 Sport Satellite (VIN RP23F8G177768) Asking $18,500
I have owned this car around 6 or so years and drove it about 1000 miles the first couple years and it hasn't moved for the last three, hence the sale. I originally purchased it to make a GTX clone but did not have the heart to take apart an original car.
Mileage: 77,000 (believed original but not on title)
Engine: 318 (never checked to verify numbers matching)
Transmission: Automatic on the console (never checked to verify numbers matching)
Paint: Original Sunfire Yellow color repainted 15+ years ago and still looks great. All original body panels still on the car. Even the trunk and lower rear quarter extensions are original.
Fender Tag: Original tag
Broadcast Sheet: I did look behind and under the rear seat and did not find one. Never looked any further.
Original power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning all in good working condition. It does have an original 8-track radio but there is a CD player in the glovebox that is hooked up so not sure if the 8-track would work or not but based on the condition of everything else on the car, I wouldn't be surprised.
If I was to be very picky, there are a few minor paint chips on the front hood and the right front fender had a very small dent that was pushed out without repainting and when the light shines on it a certain way, you can see it but it is very minor as well.
I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to drive this car anywhere.
I am planning on listing this car and a few of my others over the next couple months to see if there is any interest. I live in Calgary, Alberta (3 hours from the US border) and would assist with shipping to Sweet Grass, Montana if a US buyer is interested.
I do have a metal reproduction GTX hood (no inserts) I did buy a few years ago that I would sell with the car for an extra $500. (I paid $800) Personally I think it would be a shame to alter this car in any way but that would be up to the new owner. If you are looking for a very, very original 1968 Plymouth, this might be the one for you.
I will be out of the country on holidays from Aug 11 - Aug 17 and will only be available via email periodically on those dates.
Thanks for looking. Many more pictures at
