hi

I have a question
I removed the control arms
I got the Moog new bushing
I assume I need to press out the old outer housing or flange because this doesn't fit

The round outer existing flange look like it one piece with the arm. I know its not

How is this accomplished? Press? Heat?

Thanks

A press would be ideal. I think you can also rap the small side with a hammer to get it moving in the socket.

you could put a couple cuts in that collar and collapse it inward with a chisel and hammer

HF sells an inexpensive press, but it takes up space in the garage. Taking your UCA out to a shop to have them press out the bushings may cost you a $20, if you talk real smoothe-like.

Agreed hit it sideways with a sharp chisel air hammer to collapse it and out in 10 seconds

The last ones I did on the bench with a HF press

Question ...... speedway sells the complete OEM unit with all new bushings/joints for $150

Would you use them on a stock rebuild? Or rebuild the original. Can't tell where there made?
