hello guys, i just installed the 383 motor in my 69 charger and started it and the steering turns left by itself. i have a new rebuilt pump and steering box. i've read online something about moving the block on top of the steering box, did anybody ever have this problem ? i dont feel like taking the header off again. 1st time i had no power steering

Yes that block can be adjusted, but before you do try jacking the front wheels off the ground, start it up and turn the wheels from lock to lock a few times to bleed the system.

thanks Brad. i had bled the system already a few times.. i went back and moved the block and it doesnt steer to a side now, it stays centered. but it seems like there could be more power assist. and when it's not running i can hardly turn the steering wheel

nvm i figured it out. return line valve was stuck, in the piece that bolts on the block on the steering box
