Does anyone know if this center rear view mirror is original to my 1969 Coronet R/T? The face of the mirror keeps falling down and I read to put super glue in the ball in Mopar Muscle (E booger). Is this original?

Could try to flatten the tin cup section in a vise just a bit? That would put more pressure on the ball.

It is not the ball at the base. I have tightened the line screw on the flex plate years ago and it works fine. It is the ball inside the mirror face that is loose.

I'm used to 68-69 Chargers & Road Runners and the stem is more square than round. I would think that it would be the same on Coronets, but maybe not?

The mirror as pictured by 69CoronetRT is more commonly found in the early 68 Road Runners that I have been around.

The night / day switch is different on my 1969 Super Bee compared to this one (pictured) takes off my R/T. The back is smooth and the night / day switch is flat and moved up and down.

Both my 69 Charger and 69 Road Runner have the exact ones as shown by RC. My 70 Duster has the one like you do with the round stem. All 3 have the night/day lever like yours. Not 100% certain any of mine are original to the cars though, just what was in them when I purchased them.

Mine looks like RC's pic, from memory the main stem has a channel running down the spine that faces the window and it attaches to the mirror via a 'frenched' Allen key headed bolt.

Edit - this is on a 68 Coronet. Not sure if it is original.

FWIW Ehrenberg (MOPAR ACTION) did say that it may require a second application of the Crazy Glue.

Also, did you clean the ball first with Brakeclean and move the mirror for at least 60 seconds after the application of the Crazy Glue as he suggested?
