I spent a few hours yesterday doing electrical work and propped the glovebox up not realizing it’s supposed to stay up until I saw a video with another Coronet today. Does anyone know what I’m missing? The door is in the dash and the hinge swings freely but I can only guess I’m missing a spring. I tried searching but so far no luck on google or on one of the repro sites.

Isn’t the spring part of the hinge? Maybe it’s “sacked” out?

You likely have a broken spring. I would look for a complete hinge assembly with a good spring.

Thanks, I thought it would be a separate piece you can easily remove from the hinge which might be why I managed to miss it on Google. I'll go check mine later and see if I need to hit up ebay.
