I found a guy that is selling a 1969 Coronet wagon grille and head light bezels. Would these parts be compatible with the Super Bee or R/T?
Thanks,
Mark

Same thing Mark.....I'm no pro, but I believe there was a bit different painting schemes on the grills between the base-line and premium Coronet's/Superbee's. Someone around here probably has the heads up on that. Either way, same grill besides an emblem like "Dodge", R/T or the little superbee.

There the same only thing different is the emblem like prop said,

Not quite. The Super Bee and R/T grill is painted mostly flat black with the top and bottom horizontal bars polished to a bright finish. The head light bezels also are painted differently, flat black in the center portion with light argent around that.

The physical size and shape of the bezels and the grille are the same on all models, differences are in the paint finish & emblems between different models. So grilles and bezels from any Coronet can be made to be correct by changing the finish and emblem.

Figured someone would know the correct finish......There you go Mark.

Thanks guys. They looked like my set, but I wanted to be certain before I drive an hour away to buy the parts.

1969 Hemi RT.....

I see your car has highly polished head light bezels, with the correct black in the center. Did these come from a different model Coronet? I've always thought the Super Bee and R/T models had black in the center, light argent around that, with just the very outer edges of the bezel highly polished????

I've got both an R/T and a Super Bee and they are both the same. I know the Super Bee is correct, I've owned it since the beginning of time.

Maybe I'm mistaken, it wouldn't be the first time, but here's some more information on the subject.

Here's a photo of what the R/T and Super Bee grilles should look like.

You can see that only the very outer lip of the grille and the head light bezels are "bright", as are the upper and lower horizontal bars of the grille. The center section of both grille and head light bezels are "black", and the area in between is either "dark grey", or as I call it, "light argent".

The head light bezels that have a large area "bright", are from a Coronet Deluxe or 440 model.
