1969 GTX emblems installing meassures

I am installing the quarter panel rear GTX emblems I found some measurements and I dont know if they are right. There are 2 different meassurements for the same vehicle some where is a mistake. o\On RH side the meassures that were publish were 17 1?8from door edge and the other 10 3/4 and the driver side15 1/8 and 8 3/4 and the distance between fender and door are 22 inches and from the body line to the upper body line is 23 in both sides can anybody clarify it for me please before makin holes. I know that 3M is good but lately the hot weather has damage some stickers and door side protectors

I made that mistake initially on my 69 GTX, I drilled both sides to match. Fortunately i immediately seen the error of my ways and repaired my mistake while still in primer.
If you use the same measurements on both sides, one emblem will be placed incorrectly because the pegs are not uniform front to back, left to right.
