I'm looking at a 1969 GTX. No engine or transmission. Originally a 440-4bbl, 4 spd. Has a Dana with gearing unknown. Bucket seats, no console and no power steering. It's the least optioned GTX I've ever seen. Original air cleaner, tach, intake manifold, drive shaft, distributor, water pump, oil pan and main bearing caps sitting on back seat. White interior and red exterior. Drivers side rear quarter rust through otherwise good. No dents and trim appears complete. I'm assuming with this option (or lack thereof) and color combination it's fairly rare. I think it's worth restoring. What would a date coded (or close) engine and transmission cost me?

It ain't white no more!

What is the price? Sounds like its going to need a bit of work. I know it sounds like it would be a "rare" thing to have a lack of options on what is supposed to be a higher optioned out car, but that is going to hurt the value in my opinion. It always seems to me the cars that have so many they need two fender tags bring the most bucks.

I recently sold an 18 spline from a 69 b-body that needed to be gone through for 8 or $900 and the bell housing, flywheel etc. will probably cost you another 5 or $600 and of course you can't forget the clutch assembly. Soup to nuts around $2,500 or so for the 4spd.

RS23L9A11**** is the VIN. I went through the garbage in the car and I'm pretty sure it had a console. It's just gone. The wiring and brackets are there. The price is unknown. It's been sitting in an underground storage unit for 15 years. The old guy who had it paid over $13,000 in storage but has missed the past six months or so. The building is being torn down and it's being sold by sealed high bid.
