1969 GTX Project
- numbers matching 440 (see picture of vin on block)
- fender tag
- no buildsheet
- can’t see past headers to see any numbers on tranny so haven’t verified if it’s numbers matching tranny
- vin on trunk lip I found but haven’t found any numbers on rad support… but it looks like original paint still on rad support
-super solid floor as was a factory undecoated car by the looks of it underneath
- not sure what happened in tranny tunnel but u can see from pic that someone cut it at some point
-needs both rear quarters and misc bodywork here and there but overall I think it’s a pretty solid car
-missing mirrors, fender turn signals, side chrome trim, and maybe a few other minor things I haven’t thought off.
-has 1968 hood inserts from the looks of it but not sure when that got done
- story I got with the car is 35 or so years ago the owner blew up the rear end and had it towed. The tow truck driver said if he ever wanted to sell it to let him know. Fast forward 30+ years, he called the tow truck driver and he bought it from the same place he towed it to. I bought it from the tow truck driver.
-I haven’t tried to turn it over and not sure when it was last run.
- car is in Calgary, Alberta and has a registration from Saskatchewan in the tow truck drivers name. I will give a bill of sale as to get an Alberta registration I would need to get the car running and pass an inspection which I don’t have the time to do with my other projects.
-not sure on the logistics to get it into the USA or anywhere else but I do have a good car hauler who does travel back and forth to USA.
-just going to be too long before I get to it and finding a good bodyman is a huge wait up here so figured I’d list it.
