Sorry for all these rookie questions. I AM trying to locate the info online before I ask here.... but...

Does anyone know the 1st and last date of production for the Lynch Road assembly plant, for the 1969 model year? And finally,

Are there production numbers for 1969 GTX's by paint color?

Thanks Again!!!!

Educated guess:
New cars were in showrooms in September, so first production should probably start in August, and be done by late July.
And production by paint color is NOT available anywhere. Ther might be a vague percentage number somewhere.
Fender tag should have a spd, scheduled production date. Probably not the actual date it was built.
Your build date is the last three digit code on the bottom line of your lynch road fender tag.

Unless factory production records surface...no. We have the SCHEULED dates but not actual production dates.

No. Colors were not tracked for 1969 models.

Mopar production year, based on the 10,000 day calendar, ran 1 August to 31 July.
That doesn't mean actual production started those specific dates.

What are the earliest and latest scheduled dates you've seen for the 1969 production year?

PILOT cars: 714 (1968)
Late, and likely unrealistic for actual production: 725 (1969)

The dates vary by plant.

VIN assignment to SPD gets a little wonky at the beginning and end of the year.

While this is a common belief, the SPD dates for each model change especially as we get deeper into the 70's.

Hi Doug,

what is the latest SPD on fender tags (only) that you have for 69 Lynch Road?
According to the "tag only" latest SPD I have is 711.
If you have any later tags I would be happy if you could share them

Carsten

What does “711” actually mean?
