I'm trying to find out what type (carter AVS carb0 to put back on my 69 gtx. Its a 69 gtx 440 HiPerf motor no AC and a Auto trans.

69 GTX convert. It is a 440 AT non AC. It currently has a Carter 4640 on it. After putting on a new fuel pump with 5psi "I checked it" it likes to flood when shut off and the fuel mileage went way down. It also doesn't like to idle very good. The carb was rebuilt a couple years ago. These issues all seem to have started with the new fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump to see if I could help the hard starting after sitting a few days. Any suggestions or replacing it with a Carter 4618 carb that is supposed on this car or going aftermarket. I wish I had checked the pressure on the old pump before replacing it.

Any suggestions on where to get a Carter 4460sa carb rebuilt? Looking on the internet I'm not sure who's good and who isn't.

Harms would be a good choice but the correct carb is the 4618. I have the same set up; 69 B body, 440 auto no a/c.

I do have an extra one.
