I am looking for a 1969 Road Runner project car to work on restoring with my 5 year old son. I grew up in a Mopar family and restored a 1966 Satellite with my dad, before he got cancer and had to sell it. I tried to by the car back, but the current owner wasn't interested right now. I want my son to have the experience I did and enjoy hunting for parts, learning about internal combustion engines, polishing chrome, running wires, pulling fenders, etc. My wife encouraged me since I couldn't buy back my dad's car to get what I want and share that with our son.

So, I am looking in the $6k-$12K range. I would like an engine and tranny. Would like matching numbers but OK if it's not, as I might be out at this price range. Would prefer 383, but 440 would be fine. If it's a real solid car and complete it doesn't have to have the engine or tranny. Don't care what color as I plan to paint Vitamin C, orange is my son's favorite color. Preferably black or white interior. 4 speed or Auto doesn't matter. Would like something in the Eastern half of the US so I don't get killed in shipping, but could ship further for the right car.

If anyone has one they think I would be interested in, please PM me. I really appreciate your time and consideration.

I have a 69 matching # roadrunner listed here, Very rusty but a true original, all there with lots of extra parts, but needs total resto. I can work a little on the asking price of $9000, I can do better if serious. Even has the original carb!

moparlouie, thank you for the comment. I had looked at your listing, and while I know my budget is limited, I think with some of the rust issues it is more than I would like to tackle. Thanks though.

I have a 68 GTX $2,000

SgtLee511, thanks for the post. That looks like more than I want to take on. I have found some decent running cars online in my price range, but was unable to work out details before someone local to the car picked it up. I appreciate the post and please shoot me anything you find. It always helps to have another pair of eyes.

not sure how to do that just type in conn.craigslist go cars and type in 69 road runner
