Can someone please inform me of the correct paint color/finish of a 1969 power steering box? I'm pretty certain it is NOT bright blue like the one I just removed lol.

Thanks,
Rob

No paint. Bare casting. I use a satin diamond coat from Eastwood. Keeps it a clear clean cast look.

Thanks... that 69 only or going forward as well? I thought ps boxes got the Black treatment, unlike the manual "as cast" boxes. Might just drop the k frame out of the Bird this Winter..

Seems to me there was a debate on cast or paint. So I wont claim to be 100 percent correct. Far as I can remember seeing all were bare cast with rust flash.

Mine had never been out prior to restoration, on my bird. It's as cast. I cleared mine in the effort to keep it looking good.
