Good morning. I have a 1969 RoadRunner with bucket seats and a center console. The car is equipped with a 727 manual reverse valve body transmission. I am interested in swapping out the factory shifter with either a Hurst Promatic 2 or a B&M QuickSilver, but DO NOT want to modify the center console. A few questions......

1) Has anyone adapted these types of shifter to a center console?
2) Any special considerations need to be taken into account?
3) Can this even be successfully done?
4) Which is the shifter of preference?

Thanks in advance.

You can buy an aftermarket console and adapt that shifter to it while saving your original console. Search for my post in another thread with links to 2 sites that make them.

Thnaks for the tip. I'll search the site for the links. Do you recall the thread subject in which you called them out?
