Hey fellow members. I'm working on a book on the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. It's part of a new series here at CarTech where we will feature individual models.

I'm currently looking for Hi Res imagery of ALL factory colors offered on the 1969 Road Runner. You must be the photographer of the car(s) as I will need you to sign a permission form for usage.

I would prefer an assortment of photos, nothing from car shows though, and hoods down on all shots except features of the trunk, interior or engine bay. If possible, I would like full shots from both sides of the car. These cars MUST BE STOCK appearing. If it's bored .30 or has 4.56 gears it won't matter as that won't be photographed. The book is called, "1969 Plymouth Road Runner: In Detail". I will thoroughly examine options, marketing, advertising and the general history of the 1969 Road Runner in this book. It will be 92 pages all dedicated to our favorite bird. You will be credited in the book as the photographer so please do the best job you can in shooting your car.

Once I start accumulating imagery I will begin to post on what colors are still needed for the book. If you have a 999 car with valid documentation showing that it's some other color other than Bahama Yellow, Orange or Rallye Green I would love to see it!

Being an "in house" guy I'm not going to be able to compensate for photography. Hell, it's pretty damn cool to see your car or photo in a book, right!?!?!

Please email me photos at [email protected]

Thanks. Had it up there before posting here. :icon_thumright:

One of my cars was in a coffee table book. The cheap *** wouldn't even send me a copy.

So if an author sources 450 images for a book they're inclined to shell out 450 copies of the book to people who lent a photo? Let's do some quick math. If this was a $50 retail coffee table book and the author was able to purchase copies from the publisher at 50% off (which is generous) that person should be obligated to spend $11,250 out of their pocket to comp books? Let's add an average of $7 shipping and handling as well. Were not at $14,400. And this person is a "cheap ***"?

I'm not the one looking for "celebrity" from other's work and money. There's already a ****-ton of mopar coffee table books out there.
I believe your math is probably a bit skewed, also.... And I don't think you'll be using 450 cars in there. 90 pages and 450 images seems like little text. Soft cover books seem to run about 20-30 online. If it's a reference book, I'm sure there'll be lots of file-type images.

This your in-house deal? If not, your company should consider a new name. These guys are pretty big.

LOL. I was speaking directly to the "coffee table" book you were referencing. Clearly you're not in publishing as a coffee table book is typically 8.5 x 11, hardcover w/ 192 page count or greater with 400 to 500 images. Did I say I was writing a "coffee table" book, No. You made that incorrect connection. And as far as looking for being a "celebrity", that's laughable. Anyone publishing automotive books is doing it for the love of the hobby, not the "celebrity". Finally, where did I say I was looking for 450 cars? LOL.
