What size tire should I put on my '69 Road Runner? I have the 14" road wheels or
"Magnums" and wish to keep them. I know these wheels are narrow and will limit what I can run as far as width goes but I would like to fill up the wheel opening some. It has 245/60/14 on the rear now and 235's on the front. These tires where on it when I bought it over 20 years ago and although they look good I will be driving some this summer I think I should replace them. Thanks in advance.

Be a baller. Step up to something that matches the needs of todays cars: Something that will help the car stop, accelerate and handle better than the OEM stuff.

The Dept. of Transportation has info. on what wheel width is recommended for a particular tire width. Its not as simple as installing a 335 tire onto a 5" rim. Contact Tire Rack & tell them what wheel dimensions you have & they can tell you what tire widths & aspect ratios will SAFELY work with your wheels.

A 245/60 is pretty wide. Are you looking to go taller?

I would move up to 15" or larger and put more rear rubber on the road. I guess if you want to keep your current wheels you're going to be pretty limited.
