Title should say - 1969 Roadrunner $20,000, sorry!

Hi Guys,

I am selling a 1969 Roadrunner for a deceased friends wife. He passed in 2006 and the car has been sitting in his garage since 2004. She contacted me in January and asked if I would help her sell it. As it had been siting for so long, I had to replace several items to get it roadworthy and they are listed below..
I will list the specs and some pictures - but, as I was going through it I have noticed the VIN and fender tag do not match. No big deal as the inner fender must have been replaced earlier in it's life. I have a couple pictures that show the fender tag (incorrect for this car) and the VIN. Notice the Y2 paint where the paint peeled near the brake master cylinder. This is also the only bad spot of paint on the car, but remember the paint job is a good quality (not show-car) quality. This car is an RM21 (unless I am wrong) and the VIN and the title are for an RM23 (hardtop) car. Am I missing something? Anyway, I am not advertising this as a numbers matching car as it has the drive train swapped out. I do not have a lot of history other than I know he bought it locally around the year 2000 and wanted more power - hence the upgrade to the drivetrain. I also know he went ahead and had it repainted when the motor was out. The car is not an over-the-top show car but a super nice street fighter that would win some local car shows. I have had it out on a few 4 mile rides and this thing is very strong runner.
Have a look and PM if any questions or need more pictures. Car is located at my house in Terre Haute, IN.

What are the numbers on the core support? Do they match the vin& title? Some thing is seriously wrong if the title and vin are different! looks to be a decent car!

I will buy it if body numbers on core support or trunk lip match title. PM sent

All,
I have had several PM's asking about the markings. The title, the spare 383 and dash VIN do match making this a legal car with a clear title. The fender tag and front core support match and are a RM21 car. How this car got pieced back together with an RM23 VIN we will likely never know. My friend had purchased it in 2000 here locally, but I have no more info. At this time I would consider this a very nice non-numbers matching car that was put together to look good, go fast and have fun. I think her asking price reflects that. Thanks,,,
