Has anyone else had problems getting the airgrabber boxes to fit inside a repop'd AMD hood? Having some issues and not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's the hood. I can get the actual boxes into the hood...but I can't get everything to line up for mounting purposes. Hopefully I'm just doing it wrong.

I have heard of others having that same problem....I am not sure how they correct that...

Pictures of the problem areas?

I'm at work right now....so, I don't have any pics. I should also note that the air boxes are original.

Original is better....So just to clarify you installed the center portion first, correct? That is the first step and then the side boxes go in after...

Is it just the holes that do not line up? Or is it the rear portion of the side boxes do not go in all the way....Keep in mind some hole are there for the under hood insulation and of course is not used for the airgrabber unit....

Correct, the mounting holes do not line up.
So the question is are they close or far off? If far off then you will have to mark and drill them...What a PITA that will be....If you had to do that I would take the hood off the car and lay flat.....Then install the air grabber and place back on the car....If off the car already you are good to go...

yea, definitely looks like I need to drill. Thanks for your help. Was hoping I was just doing it incorrectly.

Make sure you put a stop on that drill bit so you don't punch through and hit the outer metal...

when ever it comes down to blaming yourself or a repop part for fitment
almost all of the time it is the part...

Actually, in this case it was user error! Lol. I think I found out the issue and for the sake of embarrassment, we'll leave it that.

Any pictures would be awesome
I'm debating buying a new hood from AMD or fixing my original. I also have the N96 air grabber.
