1969 RR - Fresh Air Vent ?

Found out that my car is supposed to have a left mounted fresh air vent box. I have found two versions of this box. One has a black lever, and one has a knob that pulls out. Which one is correct? And did they all come with a fresh air vent?

the one off my car had a black lever that said vent in white and it was a pull open push to close . if you parked under trees the leafs would get in the cowl and you opened at 60 man you thought someone planted a tree in the cowl.

I’ve reached in the cowl with that part out and been able to clean a lot of debris out of there.
