My 69 Satellite had dashboard issues when I bought it. I have gone through it and replaced the switches that I could find and buy, except for the dashboard dimmer switch, that was rebuilt by a gentleman in CA. I installed them all on the switch panel and tried like hell to get the panel back into the Dashboard with nothing but frustration.
Can anyone help me with this issue? I am pretty sure that someone here on FBBO has done this before. Thanks in advance.

That my freind is a real pain.the holes are just big enough for the switches to fit.Its been a couple of years since I had mine out but if I remember correctly it was easier to install the panel and then plug the wires to it;

Thank you for the help with this. I took the plastic cover that surrounds this panel off and it doesn't seem to want to be installed first for some reason. I will do as you have suggested, I had not thought of that before. Again many Thanks!

My repro Plymouth 1969 Service Manual was delivered today. I will get onto this once the heat and humidity ease up a bit. I really want to get on this issue and put this behind me ASAP.

LOL AHHHHHH the "Persuader"!!!!!!!!! I like how you think Richard Cranium!!!!! I'll check my Harbor Freight flyer for a sale on one of these and one smaller and one larger for those types of fitment issues. Thanks for the Laugh, my friend!

I just did mine and once the switches are through the holes then the top seats first,then little side to side to align with the screw holes.And yes there was a little persuasion with a screwdriver and hammer,well protected of course.Not fun.Leave the studs loose.Just for a little wiggle room.My two cents.

I worked on it again today. I got it (the switch bezel) into the dash area and moved the car to check the speedometer out. Damn thing would not move. So, It's going to have to wait a few days more and then I will tear it out and start over again.

I bought an M&H under dash wiring harness, to simplify these wiring issues. A Local Auto electric shop will take care of ALL of the issues with getting things taken care of including fixing the speedometer cable and buttoning up the Dash for me.

After having the under dash harness, light bulb sockets and bulbs installed, I was told that I need the following parts. The fender top directional lights, a new circuit board, a speaker installation kit and a speedometer cable, to finish this up and have everything working in the dashboard. I have these parts and the will be installed on Tuesday. Things are really taking shape for this project which makes me very happy.
