I just replaced my p/s box on my 69 Road Runner. The old one had to much play and after adjusting a small amount it would hang on right turns. I replaced it with one than had been expose to water but only had 52k miles on it. Good tight box so, knowing better, I flushed it and installed it. I reused the centering valve from my old box as the piston was stuck in the new one and I didn't want to mess with it. I have adjust many valves over the years for the wheel turning left or right on its on. The wheel will stay centered like it's ok until you touch it. Nudge it to either side and it will go to lock on that side, nudge it to the other side and it will spin completely to the opposite side. Have looked for reman box and have found lots of prices but none in stk. Any help with this or a source for a new box is appreciated.
Thanks to all,
David

My box was suspect and i was going to get a remanufactured one from the many rebuilders. I decided i didn't want to take this bit out again and thats why i went with Feel Firm. I found them to be good to deal with.

After doing lots and lots of research, I am seriously considering going with a full Borgeson steering box kit from Bergman auto craft. The price is painful, but I love the idea of having modern steering in my car instead of rebuilt 50 year old technology.

Was probably a bad move putting a box on that had water in it. I would find a really clean container and pull the hose off the pump and drain as much out as you can. Look close and see if there is any garbage in it.

As others whom stated the name of the company correctly:

Firm Feel stage 2 all the way....

I went with the FF stage 3 in the Coronet. Love it, nice heavy feel on the open road.
