I have a 70 Bee that I am working on. All original 383 4 speed, drum brakes. The master cylinder is leaking. Should I buy a new one or rebuild mine? Normally I would just go buy one, but with this car being all # matching, not sure if it makes any difference?

Depends on whether the one you have is the original or not. If it's the original, I would keep it no matter what. You can find a hydraulics shop to rebuild your original if you look around. If its not the original master, then it really doesn't matter if you get a remanufactured master from the parts store and turn in yours as a core.

DSC01911.jpg Here is a picture of it, not very big, but all I had on the computer. Does it look original? Thanks

The new 1's I've found out the hardway after my Chargers were restored; leak to.. See if there is a company that sells the gaskets; they will shrink overtime, causing the leak.

Are you talking about the gasket on the firewall? That's the only one I see besides the boot that fits around the shaft. Looks like mine is leaking right out of the cylinder. I took it off and it has some rust in the cylinder wall on the end by the firewall. I may just buy a kit, rebuild it and hone the cylinder and put it back together. Thanks
