1970 Russet Sunfire Dodge Challenger R/T SE 440

Well guys, thought some of you would enjoy these pics. *My dad has had it at least since I was born in 81. *It's been in the shed for about 20 years now. *It needs a full Restoration but my dad never seems to want to do anything with it, and he doesn't wanna let me do anything to it because he knows I will modernize it and paint it black, so here she sits.......FOR NOW.

It's a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE, motor is now a 440, (426) block is also somewhere in the shed. *It's the Cuda back window, the roof center console, power everything, not for sure but my buddy looked at it and said it has the Specialty VIN number like the Cuda's, Bee's, Superbirds, ect. *Hope you guys enjoy.

your dad must have some very strong memories about this car, thanks for sharing ,if your dad isn`t in poor health maybe suggest a father son project ,or if you have a child that is old enough maybe a father son grandchild project ,maybe he`ll come around to it just don`t push him ,good luck :headbang:

Thank you Sir, I tried to edit the title but it only changed the title inside the thread, not the title in the sub forum. It is my dream car too, has been since I was crawling, one day it will come to life.

Is it Burnt Orange? It looks like a brown/ maroon color? Is there a paint code somewhere I could check to see? Also I will definately get the VIN tomorrow as well for y'all.

I agree, we may just have to try and get some air in the tires, roll it out and clean it up a bit. We've found a 1970(I believe?) Chrysler New Yorker 440 Doner Car for it(free), I should be getting it towed over in the next week or 2. Maybe we can make some progress on it if the old man feels like popping the lock on the garage.

If it has a fender tag it will have an FK5 for a paint code. Here's my `70 in FK5.

I believe it was a 383 originally, at some point it got a 440 swapped into it which is what is in it now, and my dad has a 426 block only out there somewhere for it as well.

The tag on the drivers side fender in the engine bay is to rusted to read but my dad had a touch up can of paint from years ago for it and those are the codes and color for it.
