A friend asked me to post his car on here for sale. It is a 1970 Dodge Charger 500. It has a 383 and a 4 speed. A very nice car. Runs and looks very good. He is asking 25K for it and I think it is well worth it. If you may be interested in it PM me for his phone number and that will excuse me from being the middle man.

Hey kikgas01 I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. lol

My curiosity will probably kill me some day.

I am amazed to see how many folks have looked at this car and nobody has asked for my friends number. He says he will haggle a bit on price. Do y'all think the price is out of line or y'all just broke like me? Inquiring minds want to know, well even if they really don't I still would like to know myself.
Thanks.....Bill

Nice ride. Its the funding here. The Bee is takin all my money. We dont live too far from each other(Ohatchee). I noticed in an earlier post that you live in Heflin. Do you ever go to any of the local car get togethers in the area?

Yes we do attend shows from time to time in our area.

That is a nice car, no intention of NOT replying, just that many of us here have B Body projects ongoing and although I would love to spring for this car and drive it daily, I just can't afford it, but, what are you asking for it nonetheless?

Its a sweet ride for sure. What else can you tell us about the car? Is it numbers matching? What kind of rust repair was done prior to repaint? Whats with the weld by the fender tag?

I do not know much about this car except that I have ridden in it and it appears to be a good car. I do not know how to run the numbers on Mopars at this time, but I am learning. I would like to have it myself, but the wife says we can't afford it. I did not notice the weld until you pointed it out. Like all cars of this type I recommend having someone that knows these check it out before making a purchase. Better safe than sorry. Wesley (my friend and the owner) can answer all these questions for y'all. He says he did not realize that a 383 would be would not have the same power as the last 440 he usually has, he just wanted a 4 speed but should have held out for a 440.

That's a sweet ride in my opinion. I don't have the money, the space, and I live 3000 miles away. That being said, I would buy it if I could. Good luck.

I am not sure about how to know if the #'s match but under the distributor it has F 383 and some more stuff that these old eyes can not see clear enough to read them. It was already painted when Wes bought it so I have no idea of what it looked like prior to paint. I went over and took more photos of the area around and in front of the weld in question. It appears to be some sort amateur repair job that should have been done by a professional. It looks to be an easy fix for the right person. Other than that all looks good.
