Guys -
I am having fits with my sill plates. Maybe I don't understand the fitment but if seems like they are not made correctly. Can someone show me how the fit? The holes line up fine on the actual sill but the raised area on the aftermarket sill seems to be too shallow to fit over the pinch weld. Am I missing something? It seems way to shallow, like 1/2".

I have two sets of standard b-body plates. Are these supposed to be charger specific?

I have a set that the holes don't line up and they don't fit the pinch weld also. I did pick up a pair of reproductions from a friend of mine that I'm gonna fit tomorrow evening if they fit correctly I will send you his info.

Thanks Bee. If anyone has a picture of the rear sill plate extension installed I'd appreciate that also.

Here's a couple of pics of the repop sill plates I got from Richard. The fit was as good as you could expect from a reproduction just a tiny bit of work on the holes with a file and the holes line up ok. The fit along the top of the rocker panel has a 1/8" gap I will do just a little more work to get them fitting closer to the rocker panel. The fit over the pinch weld and windlace was good
these are way better than the first set I bought.

That's exactly what I needed. Thanks man. Now I have to try to make mine fit like that.

Scott, thanks for the information on the fit of the sill plates. So is the gap to the rocker caused by it being too flat and not allowing it to reach the rocker? Also, did the holes on each end line up, or did they require tweaking as well? I know from back in the day, the very first hole next to the kick panel even on the originals did not always fit that well. Some of the other reproductions that I have had were WAY OFF. At least I know now, that they can be worked with to be a usable product. Thanks again for letting us all know how they fit.
Richard

Richard,
It looks like maybe there's either too much radius or the recess for the screws is maybe to deep.
I will look closer tomorrow and see what going on with that.
On the holes on each end I have not tried them yet I do think the rear will be fine but I have not checked the one at the kick panel I will do that tomorrow and see how they work out.
Scott

Scott,
Just let me know your findings as we will be meeting with the manufacture next weekend at The Nats. Appreciate your efforts on testing these for us.
Thanks,
Richard
